As the students are working towards exams usually in the Spring Term, LAMDA/Drama Academy is viewed as a Yearly commitment. Therefore current students enrolled are automatically re-enrolled the following term unless notice is given.
Brief overview: LAMDA, NEA, and Trinity Examinations encompass a wide field of talents and abilities. Younger ‘learners’ usually start off with the Introductory Examinations, these are split into 2 categories Solo and Group, and are based around communication where the students will learn and recite clearly with articulation and projection a set verse and or prose.
After this they can move on to any of the following:
- Duologue or Group exams
- Acting, Devising Drama, Miming
- Group Only Examinations (3+ learners)
Most of the above exams have Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 before the graded examinations are taken for younger students. After the Entry levels, the grades are 1 – 5, similar to Associated Board Instrumental Exams.
